Une Pomme Why aren't bananas ever lonely? Because they come in bunches; une blague terrible - je suis trop désolé! One can enjoy a piece (un morceau) of fruit on its own, a whole slice (une rondelle) or as part of an assortment (un méli-mélo). Lemons or limes can be a little bitter (amer), but they do make for a rather glorious Jameson and ginger ale.
